Inspirational Quotes To Guide You Inspirational Quotes To Guide You

Sometimes life is great. Everything seems to be going right and you can do no wrong. Other times, you can't imagine having any worse luck. Regardless of what point you are at between those two extremes, it is always encouraging and also grounding to recall the words of those who came before us. Let these quotes inspire and uplift you on your bad days, and keep you grounded on your better days.

First is the quote from Leo Buscaglia who says you shouldn't "spend time asking why isn't the world a better place". He say's this is only a waste of time, because there is no answer.

Their really is no answer to that first question Leo asks, and yet we tend to get caught up on it. Why aren't things like this, or I wish they were like that. Think of all that we could accomplish if we ignored those thoughts and actively set about to change the world.

Next is a quote from Buddha. "You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."

Using Inspirational Quotes for High School Homeroom Projects

Using Inspirational Quotes for High School Homeroom Projects Using Inspirational Quotes for High School Homeroom Projects

Thinking of new homeroom projects for your high school students? A homeroom teacher has this advantage over other teachers--- the opportunity to inspire and influence his students more since he is their immediate adviser, friend, and mentor. In facilitating meaningful homeroom projects, they allow the students to take on additional responsibilities, learn new things, interact better, and have fun. So instead of the usual fund-raising activities and projects, why don't you try something more inspirational? Here are some ideas you can implement in your class.

INSPIRATIONAL POSTERS

Encourage your students to inspire other students, to give them food for the soul. You can do this by asking them to design and create posters with inspirational quotes about life which they can look up or make by themselves. Have them add graphics or illustrations, even simple ones, to magnify the given message. They can put up these posters around the school to serve as words of motivation and encouragement.

INSPIRATIONAL ITEMS

Your students may also want to use inspirational quotes to decorate various items that they sell in school to other students and even to teachers as a fund-raising project for their class. For instance, they can design and create homemade cards and bookmarks with inspirational quotes. They can also hand-paint plain white shirts with these quotes, along with matching designs. If they have a capital for this small business venture, they may also opt to make shirt designs in the computer and have them printed on the shirts. Afterward, it would be good to suggest to them to also make appropriate advertising and promotional fliers and/or posters to let others know of these items for sale.

Daily Inspirational Quotes

Daily Inspirational Quotes Daily Inspirational Quotes

A great life consists of keeping your eyes on the distant mountains of your life purpose while continuing to put one foot in front of the other along the path of everyday life. However, it is all too easy to lose sight of the goal and get lost in everyday frustrations, angers and disappointments.

Including daily reminders of your life purpose in each day's routine can help keep your focus on your goals. Great reminders can include meditation, prayer, yoga, positive affirmations, and also daily inspirational quotes.

Inspirational quotes are typically fragmentary thoughts, taken out of context, that are best used to get you thinking about their underlying meaning and about the big commitments and values of your life. As an example, let's take a look at President Franklin Roosevelt's quote, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror." Those words were a part of President Roosevelt's First Inaugural Address on March fourth 1933, in the depths of the Great Depression. But is it necessary to understand the context in order to appreciate the thought and apply it in your life? Not only is the context not necessary, but in my opinion, it actually makes it more difficult to focus the inspiration on your own issues around fear.

Instead of buying mass produced graduation announcements and graduation invitations that look exactly like everyone else's, go online and add family photographs, personal style, and unique messages to create mementos of this year's graduate. Of course, high school and college aren't the only institutions people graduate from: beauty school, law school, police academy, kindergarten, boot camp, and several other occasions warrant recognition from family and friends. Graduation announcements and invitations help ensure that everyone hears the good news, gets to attend the ceremony itself, or is invited to the graduation party.

Certainly, the photographs selected to create memorable graduation announcements and invitations will have a big impact on their appearance. The words used to create the messages can also make or break custom correspondence. Luckily, there are more inspirational quotes available than could be used up in a lifetime. Some are humorous, some are somber, but all of them share the pride and celebration inherent in accomplishing something this big. Recognition is deserved and friends and family will be delighted to share in the good news.

Inspirational Quotes and Sayings

Inspirational Quotes and Sayings Inspirational Quotes and Sayings

Sorry, no inspirational quotes and sayings here, it's all about commitment. I could give you inspirational quotes and sayings, but that won't help you with your commitment level. Commitment will involve sacrifices for a season, but the results could be a lifetime of amazing possibilities for you and the world you live in.

I want to share with you the ultimate example of commitment-- the Nelson Mandela story. Nelson Mandela spent 27 years as a political prisoner in South Africa before becoming the country's first black president. Mandela was a leading member of the African National Congress (ANC), which opposed South Africa's white minority government and its policy of racial separation, known as apartheid. The government outlawed the ANC in 1960. Mandela was captured and jailed in 1962. He spent most of his sentence at Robben Island. Seven years into his sentence, Mandela's prison cell doors were opened, his shackles were taken off and he was set free under one condition: he had to put an end to his crusade. When Mandela was offered his freedom based on this agreement, he simply got up, turned around, walked back to his cell, closed the door, and put his shackles back on. He refused to give up on the commitment he made to his country and his people, even for something as precious as freedom!
